Premium ice-cream and gelati manufacturer Gelista has announced that it has appointed EuroStore Australia as its exclusive distributor in Victoria. The announcement follows the recent successful launch of the 570ml Gelista Jar consumer range in South Australian quality food supermarket and specialty store.
“The 570ml Gelista Jars have been a huge success for us,” says Peter Cox, Managing Director of Gelista. “Our social media community has been asking us when our products will be available in Victoria. Now we have the ability to answer that question with a high level of confidence. We are expecting to see the 570ml Gelista Jar selling successfully in premium supermarkets and specialty stores across the state.”
Gelista appointed EuroStore Australia because it had so many synergies with the Gelista business and corporate ethos. EuroStore Australia values quality and service providing gourmet and premium foods to the retail and professional market. It, like Gelista, is a highly principled family business drawing on the significant reputation of owners Stefano and Sarah Angelini. “We really like the Gelista approach. Their commitment to quality is something that we see as directly reflecting our commitment to quality,” says Sarah Angelini, Managing Director of EuroStore Australia. “But when Stefano and I tried the products, we were convinced. They live up to the brand promise; the taste and texture is uniquely Gelista.”
A number of visitors to the Adelaide based music festival WOMADelaide will have recently returned home to Victoria this month having tasted Gelista, who were official supporters of the festival. The announcement of this appointment will allow them to buy the product at a supermarket near them!
EuroStore Australia will be responsible for securing distribution through retail channels but will also represent Gelista in the food service and restaurant market where Gelista has already established a reputation as a premium and bespoke flavour provider. “We are really excited to be working with Sarah and Stefano,” says Peter Cox. “This is the start of something big.” EuroStore Australia has already secured distribution in the following stores in Victoria.
